Daycon Products Company, a leading manufacturer and distributor of building maintenance supplies and services, is in search of an entry to mid-level Warehouse Selector to join our warehouse team based in Upper Marlboro, MD. Our Selector workers are responsible for selecting and loading raw materials, packaging supplies, equipment, and products for delivery to customer locations. May also assist with receiving, storing and replenishing product.

Position: Warehouse Selector

Hours: 2:00pm-10:30pm (until finished)

Pay: $18.00/per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets and/or load directly into delivery truck.
• Follow detailed instructions as indicated on routing and shipping documents.
• Mark materials with identifying information in accordance with documentation procedures.
• Load trucks according to the pick manifest.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Pick, process, and load all common carrier, FEDEX and other outside shipments.
• Read receiving schedule, dispatch log, delivery tickets, purchase order, special orders and return-to vendor forms to determine items to be received, picked, staged, loaded or delivered.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage rack or shelves or to other designated areas using narrow aisle reach trucks, electric pallet jacks or stock chasers.
• Sort and store high value goods in a designated secure area.
• Use computer to print purchase orders and find overflow locations.
• Use computer to locate stock, move stock and print labels.
• Operate voice directed warehouse software to "voice pick" items.
• Greet and wait on customers that pick-up merchandise in the warehouse.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on the warehouse as directed.
• Operate the compactor and shrink wrap machines as needed.
• Perform cycle count and inventory control functions as needed.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Ability to read and understand English.
• Basic math and computer operation skills
• 2 years of warehouse experience preferred, not required.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred, not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as a team and independently.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs.
• Ability to learn and operate a voice directed warehouse picking program.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and move more than 100 pounds.
• The employee frequently is required to stand sit or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The employee is regularly required to work in an office, warehouse, or outdoor environment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Hearing abilities required for the use of voice pick warehouse program.
