We are currently seeking a diligent and responsible Security Guard to join our team and help safeguard our warehouse facility in Hauppauge, New York.

Job Description:

As a Security Guard at Universal Perfumes & Cosmetics, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security and orderliness of our warehouse operations. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and control access to the warehouse, ensuring the safety of our staff and protecting our assets.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a vigilant, dedicated Warehouse Security Guard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our warehouse facility, assets, and personnel by implementing and enforcing our security protocols. This role is crucial in preventing unauthorized access, theft, and damage, ensuring a secure environment for our operations.

•* *Access Control: Monitor and control entry and exit points of the warehouse facility. Verify identification and ensure only authorized personnel access the premises. Prevent unauthorized entry effectively.

•* *Surveillance: Operate and monitor security cameras and surveillance equipment to oversee the warehouse area continuously. Identify and act upon any signs of theft, vandalism, or suspicious behavior.

•* *Patrols: Perform regular patrols inside and around the warehouse, either on foot or by vehicle, to deter potential security breaches and ensure all areas are secure.

•* *Alarm Response: Respond immediately to alarms triggered by security systems, including intruder and fire alarms. Investigate the cause and implement necessary actions promptly.

•* *Emergency Response: Handle emergencies (e.g., fires, accidents, medical incidents) efficiently. Coordinate with emergency services and ensure the safety of all personnel during such incidents.

•* *Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with security team members, warehouse staff, and management. Report security incidents, suspicious activities, or safety hazards promptly.

•* *Documentation: Keep accurate records of all security-related incidents and actions taken. Ensure documentation is available for investigations or legal proceedings.

•* *Printing Exit Confirmation: Check every outgoing shipment, verify the address, PO/Invoice number with BOL, Print Exit document from the computer check it against BOL and stick it at the back of BOL.

•* *Receiving the Shipment: Help receiving the shipment. Verify the shipment details with BOL like number of Boxes, Pallets. If all the pallets and boxes are in good condition and good quality. There is no visible sign of theft or damage.

•* *Training and Awareness: Conduct security training sessions for warehouse staff to enhance awareness and compliance with security procedures.

•* *Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Cooperate with local law enforcement agencies, providing necessary assistance and information during investigations.

•* *Asset Protection: Regularly inspect security measures such as locks, windows, and gates. Protect warehouse assets from any form of risk.

•* *Security Protocols: Enforce security policies and procedures. Recommend improvements and conduct security briefings as needed.

•* *Customer Service: Provide courteous assistance and information to employees and visitors. Maintain professionalism at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
