Global Essence Inc., a distributor of flavor and fragrance materials located in Hamilton, New Jersey has an immediate opening for the position of: Warehouse & Production Associate. Global Essence is family owned business looking to continue to build our warehouse and production team with dedicated team members looking to grow with the company!

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Warehouse & Production Associate will be responsible for unloading deliveries and staging outgoing shipments. As this role progresses, the candidate will be trained further into material handling operations such as filtering, mixing and repackaging of liquid and powdered products. This position will report to both the Warehouse and Production Manager and the Warehouse & Production Lead. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an industrial like setting, involving the handling of aroma chemicals, essential oils and other odiferous products.

PRIMARY TASKS INCLUDE:

• Unloading material deliveries into warehouse.
• Forklift operation.
• Check contents of deliveries to ensure they are correct and undamaged.
• Movement of deliveries to warehouse storage locations.
• Staging of outgoing shipments.
• Completion of shipping checklists to ensure accuracy of shipments.
• Raw material handling - blending and repackaging of materials.
• Safely and efficiently operate material transfer equipment, along with eventual progression into larger scale mixing tank operations.
• Sanitation activities of various product contact surfaces.
• General custodial duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Forklift experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in an industrial setting.
• Any combination of training and experience, which is equivalent to graduation from high school.
• Any experience in delivery, warehousing, receiving, packing, shipping and/or storage of goods preferred but not required.
• Experience in a production setting is preferred.
• Experience working in production setting within the flavor and fragrance industry is highly preferred.
• Experience with liquid transfer equipment such as drum pumps and/or centrifugal pumps with VFD's (Variable Frequency Drives) a plus.
• Must be able and willing to work both independently and also collaboratively and effectively with the team.
• Must pass background check as required for employees handling HAZMAT materials within the USA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
