National Fulfillment Services, located in Aston, PA is seeking an experienced Scheduler / Planner to join our team at our Aston PA location. This is an ON SITE position starting at 6:30 AM.

Job Summary
: Manage the short term and long-term distribution center (DC) storage capacities to ensure support of corporate strategies, efficient DC operations, and delivery of required service levels. The assist the Supervisor in planning, forecasting, and management of the inventory, the inventory levels of those items, and manage within the capacities of the DC’s respective flow paths utilizing the WMS and TMS Systems.


Responsibilities


  • Reviews orders to ensure they can be fulfilled properly with our WMS and TMS systems.
  • Creates order and labor plans that align with the workload capacity of each warehouse.
  • Works with site manager to address any issues they have with order and labor plans.
  • Communicates with Client Services team any changes to expected order fulfillment.
  • Manages workload and ensures priority work is completed on time.
  • Monitor, analyze and report daily/weekly departmental performance through effective KPI tracking and data collection for respective shift.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Provide feedback to the manager on the operations and employees.
  • Demonstrate respect for the Company’s values daily, maintain and uphold all policies & procedures.
  • Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining the optimum network layout of storage space by maximizing cube utilization and maintaining proper adjacencies.
  • Consider growth, changes in flow path strategies, and other flow impacts when developing long term capacity projections.
  • Follow racking plans to support business changes and provide analysis supporting any changes needed to network/systems design.
  • Work with manager in the design and manage the storage strategies, location classes, and pick sequences for all storage devices within the network.
  • Assist in leading the establishment and maintenance of WMS work routines to maximize productivity.
  • Provide visibility and execution of actions on residual inventory to free up locations.
  • Conduct picking activity analysis and revise locations as needed to maximize productivity.
  • Conduct analysis of device utilization and make recommendations where changes are needed.
  • Complete ongoing slotting analysis to maximize corporate savings and optimize capacities.
  • Provide Inventory management teams with ongoing dialogue and education of effective logistics solutions.


Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or related business experience required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as required by business needs.
  • Knowledge and experience in WMS and TMS.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to detect items in close and far proximity.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with the public and teammates.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations both in written and verbal form.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the building as per the business and position needs.
  • Detail orientated with conceptual thinking and implementation skills.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
