Picking Crew

Purpose:

Highly organized, detail oriented, team player wanted!

Warehouse Associates assist with all processes involved in the receiving, stocking, picking and distribution of products from a warehouse setting. The work is fast paced and detail oriented. A friendly, positive attitude with strong commitments to teamwork and service are a must. Computer experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive product picking lists and understand how to read them.
• Understand product locations in warehouses and store.
• Pick product accurately.
• Pick product in a timely fashion.
• Complete lists thoroughly and efficiently.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Be self-motivated.
• Present a professional demeanor in attitude and appearance.
• Be willing to adapt to the changing needs of the business.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong desire to provide the best customer service.
• Ability to maintain a friendly, positive attitude.
• Professionalism and Teamwork.
• Basic computer skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• The willingness to learn new things.
• Ability to work with their hands which include repetitive motions and heavy lifting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some high school

Working Conditions:

• Work is physically strenuous. Workers are typically required to lift heavy packages, bend, stoop, utilize ladders and/or operate heavy equipment.
• Warehouses are often blocked buildings, and some workers must walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
• Depending on the type of merchandise stored, warehouses are clean, well ventilated, and well lighted.
• Warehouse workers who work on loading platforms may be exposed to all kinds of weather, and those who work outdoors should wear protective clothing.
• To reduce the risk of accidents, workers are required to follow strict safety regulations.
• Warehouse workers generally work about forty hours a week. Overtime is often available at premium rates, and the work is usually steady all year.
