Warehouse Organizer/ Cleaner/ Handyman

Job Overview:

Slate Staging and Design is a growing home staging company located in Hayward, CA offering home staging and design services throughout the Bay Area. We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Warehouse Organizer/Cleaner/Handyman. This role is crucial in supporting the overall warehouse operations and assisting with the moving and staging processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically capable, and eager to contribute to the success of our projects.

This team member must be willing to wear multiple hats throughout our fast-paced, multifaceted days with a strong willingness to go above and beyond!

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and organizing all warehouse spaces and bathroom.

• Cleaning and maintaining furniture, upholstered furnishings, rugs, cushions and accessories upon return from de-stages.

• Overall warehouse maintenance and small handyman jobs like building out shelves/shelving, pallet racks, plumbing, changing out lighting and making small repairs to furniture and accessories as needed.

• Help with the organization and arrangement of staging items within the warehouse.

• Participate in loading and unloading furniture and decor items for staging projects.

• Support moving crews during transportation of items to and from various properties.

• Ensure the proper handling and placement of staging items at project site.

• Assist in tracking inventory levels and maintaining accurate records.

• Help with packing, wrapping with moving blankets and preparation of staging items for transportation.

• Collaborate with the team and stagers to fulfill staging orders and prepare items for projects.

• Support in implementing improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in warehouse support or a similar role.

· Physical capability to lift and move heavy furniture and staging items.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

· Forklift driving experience is a plus.

· Ability to drive a moving box truck (under 26ft)

· Must be able to speak English

· Must be a Team Player

· Must have an upbeat personality/good attitude. No negativity! We love a good sense of humor!

MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CELL PHONE, DRIVER’S LICENSE, RELIABLE VEHICLE, CLEAN DRIVING RECORD & ABLE TO TRAVEL LOCALLY

Must be willing to work flexible hours.

NO SET WEEKLY SCHEDULE.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and staging items. Minimum 50lbs +
• Comfort working in a physically demanding environment.
