Order Picker

Position Summary:
The Order Picker is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse inventory. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Order Picker must ensure that all picked items meet quality standards and are correctly assembled for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retrieve items from warehouse shelves or storage locations based on order sheets or instructions provided.
• Ensure accuracy in picking items by verifying product codes, quantities, and specifications.
• Organize picked items neatly on pallets or in containers to facilitate easy transportation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the picking area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Assist in inventory counting and stock replenishment as needed.
• Collaborate with other warehouse team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Follow proper safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Communicate any discrepancies or issues with orders to the supervisor for resolution.
• Meet productivity targets and quality standards set by the management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive work attitude and contributing to a productive work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
