DESCRIPTION: Responsible for following all safety and warehouse procedures. Works with area managers and other leads to:
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for following all safety and warehouse procedures. Works with area managers and other leads to:
- Prepare documentation for domestic shipments.
- Assure shipping counts match picking documents and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Determine the most economical and efficient shipping method.
- Schedule inbound and outbound freight.
- Load freight and maintain count accurate of the trailer.
- Develop and maintain a relationship with area sales reps of the trucking companies.
- Support warehouse supervisor with sales representatives on reductions and evaluations of freight companies.
- File freight claims if loss of freight occurs.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain good attendance and a positive attitude.
- Control of Internal Orders in shipping
- Complete ALL daily tasks (fill in where needed – never a job too big or small to do).
- Cooperate with decision-makers and do what is needed.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Good computer aptitude.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED.
HOURS: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Contingent upon passing a drug screen
Profit-Sharing Bonus plan offered as well after 90 days IF goals achieved (could be up to 10% of salary)
