Under general supervision the Warehouse Operator 1 operates a clamp or forklift to performs various clamp and fork driving duties to include picking customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, putting away finished goods, and operate floor scrubber. This position follows standard work and safety methods, practices, and procedures in support of an efficient and safe production environment.

This is a 2nd shift position- Hours are: Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:30am

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for moving pallets of finished product to various work areas such as trailers, or to the appropriate warehouse locations.
• Responsible for properly stacking product.
• Moves raw packaging, or point-of-sale materials to designated locations.
• Responsible for leaker pickup and other housekeeping tasks as necessary.
• Picks product for sales orders.
• Operates stretch wrapper.
• Responsible for checking and insuring inventory accuracy utilizing the computerized inventory system.
• Accurately scans product LPN’s, use query functionality, and perform cycle counts.
• Responsible for inspecting packages (pallet patterns & case print) to ensure compliance with work orders.
• Maintains new skills and processes introduced for clamp and forklift driver area operation.
• Certification and re-certification of attained Clamp and Forklift Driver skills, duties and accountabilities including safety, and QA will be necessary.
• Promotes/supports/exhibits the values of maintaining a positive environment, professionalism and embracing change.
• Demonstrates sense of urgency, teamwork within a diverse team make-up, effective verbal/written communication, problem solving and decision-making in cross-functional interaction with Ops/Supply Chain personnel to achieve department goals in cost reduction and customer service.
• Performs duties to maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Follows safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.
• Reads and understands technical training manuals; apply content to job functions.
• Support and makes continuous improvement recommendations to management.

What You Will Need: 

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate, plus previous forklift, clamp lift or heavy machinery operations experience.
• Required to comply with company GMP policies.
• Required to work overtime as needed.
• Required to work any shift as needed.
• Required to be at least 18 years of age.
• Required to lift and move up to 60 lbs.
• Required to pass in-house clamp and forklift skills tests to become a Certified Forklift and Clamp Driver
• Must be able to re-certify Clamp Driver skills attained as required.
• Required to be physically capable of executing all essential functions of the job.
• Must be able to operate and utilize the computerized inventory system.
• Accepts constructive feedback and alters behavior accordingly.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart: 

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate, plus 1 year of forklift or clamp lift experience.
• 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Current Forklift or Clamp Certification.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience working in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to: Frequently reaching with frequent torso and neck rotation and constant handling and grasping; Maximum lifting of 60 lbs; Occasionally standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling; Constant movements occur while operating the foot controls on the lifts on a constant basis; Hand and finger dexterity and gross manipulation occurs on a constant basis in terms of operating the knobs and controls on the lift; Constant sitting for the majority of the work shift in terms of driving the lift

Compensation:

• Hiring Salary Range Posted: $19.90-$26.92 per hour
• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
