Job Description:

We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager - Parcel, 1st Shift (Onsite in Canal Winchester, OH) at Pitney Bowes.

You will provide Manager coverage for the 1st Shift team with a primary schedule of 7:00AM – 3:30PM EST on Tuesday through Saturday.  You will be expected to have flexibility within your schedule as business needs arise.

The wage range for this position is $79,000 to $99,000, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job. This position is eligible for quarterly field bonus.

You must be in driving distance of Canal Winchester, OH. The Warehouse Operations Manager is expected to arrive 30 mins prior to the start of the shift and remain for 30 minutes after the end of the shift. Anyone in this role must be flexible with their schedule for shift days and times as business needs change.

You are a driven leader who will have responsibility to effectively manage, oversee and control all operational and associate activities within the warehouse including Receiving, Sorting, Processing, Shipping, Inventory Control and Quality Controls as well as ensuring on time delivery. The Warehouse Operations Manager will lead a team of 25 - 50 full time and part time hourly employees and will be responsible for ensuring the proper implementation and enforcement of policies, holding a high standard of safety and the continuous training of leads and associates in the warehouse.  

 You will: 

• Be responsible for the timely processing of all department activity including productivity, labor, accuracy, and day end reports. 

• Work closely with the Site Manager to control costs within the distribution center such as labor, supplies, and inventory shrinkage. 
• Be responsible for accurate employee records including daily time clock monitoring, discipline notification and attendance reports. 
• Plan and manage production, staffing, inventories, coordinate a successful daily start-up.
• Successfully communicate with carriers and transportation department to manage both delivery and pickup schedules.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule which may mean extended hours as the workload demands. 
• Manage the workflow to ensure the daily activities/demand related to the assigned department is met as expected. 
• Manage, coach, train, and counsel department employees. 

• Ensure a safe work environment by observing and coaching employees, addressing potential safety hazards, maintaining a clean work area, and participating as a permanent member of the Safety Committee.
• Monitoring condition of all equipment and ordering repairs
• Responsible for securing facility and daily close out procedures. 

As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you have: 

• 2 - 5 years related experience in a shipping/transportation operation. 
• Working knowledge of small package and conveyor systems. Ideally the candidate will have experience with USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or OnTrac. 
• Must be knowledgeable in OSHA and Fire safety regulations.
