Description
Operates multiple varieties of forklift vehicles to transport materials to assigned destinations. May load or unload trucks as required. Operates under specific detailed instructions. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in shipping, receiving, maintaining records, and transporting in the warehouse.
Requirements
Unload and load delivery trucks.
Verify inventory locations, quantities, size, etc. as needed.
Verify/enter all raw material receipts into the warehouse inventory program and tag freight as needed.
Verify/receive FedEx/UPS shipments into the warehouse inventory program and deliver as needed.
Pull and process daily shipments per picking routes.
Prepare all associated paperwork - BOL, packing slip, COA, pallet labels.
Combine/separate products into new pallets.
Identify warehouse inventory program issues and work with depts. to get them corrected.
Monitor forklift fleet for maintenance issues.
Locate and pull shipments for transfers to/from White Bluff.
Service printing press timely with material to minimize press-down times.
Transport finished goods to the warehouse for shipping or storage in overhead racks.
Maintain and accurately document job numbers, counts, weight, destinations, etc.
Responsible for compliance with all regulatory, facility food safety, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs) policies and procedures.
Must be able to be forklift certified.
Operate Forklifts in a safe manner.
Assist with mounting plates.
Assist in packing line, ex. Help pack products, cut cores/plastic, keep the area clean and organized and supplies stocked as needed.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have one to three years of relevant warehouse experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience with bar-code inventory systems.
Must demonstrate the ability to work in fast paced environment often with shipping deadlines.
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
Must have good math skills to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurements, volume, and other quantities.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate with warehouse manager and supervise and assist in daily warehouse duties.
Must be able to safely operate a forklift while performing such tasks as loading, and unloading trucks, transferring loads to and from the warehouse, stacking skids, and placing material in racks.
Must be able to safely relocate heavy items in a timely manner by either physical or mechanical means.
Must have reading, writing, and general math skills, which permit employee to read press or bag machine orders, material labels and select correct material for production in correct quantities.
Must be able to comprehend and follow detailed instructions without constant supervision.
Must have maturity and disposition to operate safely.
Must have organizational skills to correctly locate or place material in the warehouse, to account for materials in transition from one area of the warehouse to another, and calculate material use by production. Must be able to record this information for accounting.
Reflexes must be in excellent condition for quick response time on moving machinery. Employees must be able to react to rapidly moving parts to avoid serious injury to him/her. Employees must be always completely alert to operate a forklift in a proper manner.
Must inspect materials entering warehouse for any defects and use judgment whether to accept these materials. Must inspect materials leaving warehouse to see that they are properly wrapped and protected for shipping.
