The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Manager is to oversee the activities of the warehouse's day-to-day operations. This includes organizing the receiving and delivering procedures for various stone material products while ensuring all safety policies are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Manages personnel issues, including, but not limited to, vacation approvals, time-card approvals, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
- Develops and coaches team.
- Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.
- Staffing appropriately for work demands and delegating assignments to the crew.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures; ensures crew follows all established policies and procedures.
- Enters and receives new material (slabs) into the system.
- Responsible for cleanliness of showroom and warehouse.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
- Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for the crew.
- Supervises warehouse team.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience.
- Proficient in Internet and inventory software.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
- Forklift and crane experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards, especially in safety.
- Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
