Position Description:
Perform functions to direct activities related to shipping and receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes including the management of personnel and inventory accuracy, driving efficiencies, and reducing costs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitors warehouse inventory, ensures order accuracy fulfillment, confirms FEFO (first expired, first out) process, and drives productivity levels
- Verifies data integrity of Adage and Whistle inventory reports resolving errors as needed
- Establishes best practices and optimizes warehouse space through continuous improvement programs and strategic planning
- Ensure all warehouses maintain a level of cleanliness and organization
- Coordinates the staging of packaging materials based on production needs
- Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing and adjust warehouse and drivers as needed
- Manages and reports weekly and monthly on performance and KPIs
- Monitors fulfillment rates and error logs and takes appropriate actions or process changes to optimize results
- Works with maintenance for completion of all necessary repairs to ensure tasks can be performed safely and efficiently
- Develop standard operating procedures and ensures follow-through in line with KPIs to safeguard improvement within all functions of the warehouse operation
- Conducts weekly verification of finished product inventory, internally and externally, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Authorizes product release from internal and outside storage for fulfillment of orders and oversees the inbound material and trailer inspections
- Participates in the year-end auditing process by gathering, verifying, and reporting inventory data to the financial team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
- Oversees the employee experience through recruitment, dismissals, counseling, and motivating staff
- Directs the administration of timecards and approval of time off requests, in respect to business needs
- Manages employee participation and adherence to food safety and employee safety programs and policies
- Educate staff by orienting and training employees on company rules, safety, and job functions
- Guides the enforcement of systems, policies, and procedures consistently and fairly
- Resolves personnel issues per company guidelines and policies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree related to Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience
- 3 or more years of warehouse or dock experience including personnel management
- Experience working with an ERP or WMS software and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database programs specifically Excel including pivot tables, graphs, and manipulation of large data sets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills
Physical requirements:
- Able to withstand walking and standing 40% of the time
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds daily, over 50 pounds occasionally
