SAIC is looking for a Warehouse Logistician to support life cycle maintenance and integrated product support for US Navy systems. The successful candidate will have specific, recent, and extensive experience providing logistics support in a DoD environment. This position is an onsite role located in San Diego, CA.
JOB DUTIES:
· Must possess a comprehensive working knowledge of US Navy and Department of Defense Logistics Systems including: packaging, shipping, receiving, supply processes, stock control, warehousing, inventory management, procurement, and physical distribution of inventory.
· Must have a thorough knowledge and documented use of software systems/databases such as CAV, SABAR, CMPro, and ERP.
· A clear understanding of DoD and US Navy inventory management is critical to success in this position, including familiarity with INCO, OBRP and PBL spares, as well as the management tools and periodic reports associated with those spare inventories.
· Prioritizing multiple tasks to meet time critical requirements; and coordinating with various functional areas to ensure timely receipt, testing, approval, packaging, and documentation of inventory to meet fleet requirements.
· Duties may also include interpreting and evaluating demand history, analyzing end of life impacts on existing inventory, forecasting future demand based on fielding plans, researching, and estimating cost trends for existing and future inventory, and providing recommendations to customers for inventory management updates.
· The ability to exercise independent judgment while working on multiple projects of diverse scope will be key to successful performance of the task requirements associated with this position.
· This position involves direct contact with customers and fleet users and demands performance that is both detail oriented and time critical.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Diploma and two (2) or more years of related experience
· Secret clearance
DESIRED SKILLS:
· Experience with the following software systems/ databases: CAV, SABAR, CMPro, and ERP systems
· Working knowledge and experience working with the US Navy and Department of Defense
Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
