Warehouse Labor - Pick/Pack.

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for accurately building and staging orders based on a pick ticket for loading onto delivery trucks
-Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation
-Use appropriate manual or powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) to move product and materials from/to designated locations
-Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to product age, quality and safety
-Responsible for meeting productivity requirements
-Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of the warehouse
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
-Prior Warehouse Experience: While not always required for entry-level positions, having previous experience in a warehouse setting can be beneficial. This could include roles such as a warehouse associate, picker/packer, material handler, or forklift operator.
-Forklift Operation Skills: Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is highly valued. Candidates with forklift certification or experience operating similar machinery may have an advantage.
-Inventory Management: Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures, including receiving, stocking, picking, and cycle counting, is often preferred.
-Physical Fitness and Stamina: Warehouse work can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items for extended periods. Employers often prefer candidates who are physically fit and capable of handling the demands of the job.
-Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in warehouse operations to ensure that inventory records are precise, orders are fulfilled correctly, and products are handled safely. Candidates with strong attention to detail are highly valued.
-Teamwork and Communication Skills: Warehouse environments rely on effective teamwork and communication to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations. Candidates who can work well with others and communicate clearly are highly sought after.
-Safety Consciousness: Prioritizing safety is paramount in warehouse environments where employees may encounter hazards such as heavy machinery, moving equipment, and stacked inventory. Candidates with a strong commitment to safety protocols are preferred.
-Adaptability and Flexibility: Warehouses often operate in fast-paced environments where priorities can change quickly. Candidates who can adapt to changing circumstances, work efficiently under pressure, and remain flexible with scheduling are highly valued.
-Basic Computer Skills: While not always required, familiarity with basic computer skills and warehouse management software may be preferred for some positions.
-Reliability and Punctuality: Employers value candidates who are reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Consistency and dependability are key traits sought after in warehouse employees.

Qualifications:
-Prior warehouse experience preferred
-Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred
-Must have the ability to repetitively lift, push and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach
-Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
-Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
-Must have the ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
-Must have the ability to read information in small, medium and large print
