SUMMARY
Provides overall support to warehouse operations across forklift, clerical, recoup, and rework requirements. Responsible for the processing of damaged product in warehouse (physically and systematically). Rework customer orders by inspecting bottles, casing bottles, hand packing, applying labels, wrapping, hand stacking, preparing product, applying banding, and moving product as directed. Responsible for inventory count and labeling. Open and close truck and rail dock, to include opening/closing of doors, placing/movement of dock plates, and collection of paperwork. Conduct driver check in and documentation of transportation. Verifies Bills of Lading (BOL) and signs. Must be able to maintain general housekeeping and sanitation. Direct the work of contract employees in area as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Performs quality checks of products, closing flaps on boxes, and palletizing all boxes.
• Performs real-time system processing of product by issuing, un-issuing, and producing cases with correct attributes, SKU's, tax, status, and lot codes.
• Sorts through damaged product, identifying salvageable product per customer standard, and repacks to make saleable. Collects and packages unsellable product to prepare for disposition to dump.
• Manages inventory of cardboard fiber, physically and within appropriate systems, used for the repackaging of suppliers' products. Performs housekeeping duties for area.
• Organizes, maintains, and manages inventory of bottle stock.
• Performs monthly bottle inventory count for TTB compliance.
• Provides assistance to temporary employees when needed.
• Removes product from boxes, apply labels if required, check for defects, and repack into boxes.
• Ensures understanding of and adherence to customer requirements, government regulations, and company standards and procedures.
• Performs reworking of supplier products from one package into another when necessary.
• Performs product inspections and Inbound Goods Inspections, including necessary tracking, paperwork, and reporting when necessary.
• Performs general warehouse housekeeping, to include driving sweeper/scrubber when necessary.
• Performs supporting functions to the truck and rail dock as directed, including opening/closing doors, collecting paperwork, and placing/removing/moving dock plates.
• Closes and post inbound receipts.
• Files claims with various customers.
• Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklift in support of customer rework projects.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Supports and practices all established safety programs and policies.
• Follows and practices all established Standard Operating Procedures.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and two years of material handling experience.
• Skilled in reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Experienced in dealing with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Proficient in the use of computers and able to learn and use WMS program.
• Required to work an off-shift (swing or graveyard), when necessary.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience in a Warehouse environment.
• Experience working independently.
• Experience multi-tasking and managing multiple projects at one time. High attention to detail.
• Current Fork Lift Certification.
• Experience with reading and interpreting documents such as BOL, instruction sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Compensation

  1. Hiring Hourly Rate: $17.69 - $20.81.
  2. Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
