Warehouse Delivery Associate
Reports to Store Manager
SUMMARY
Assists warehouse manager and other drivers in the warehouse, rides along to deliver merchandise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficient and safe loading and unloading of trucks in a secure manner to prevent damage
- Assists in receiving merchandise and reports any discrepancies
- Helps stock merchandise
- Rides along in truck to deliver merchandise to customer’s homes, acts as navigator and spotter, who exits truck when it is engaged in reverse or as deemed necessary.
Must wear OSHA required vest when spotting.
- Unloads and places customers’ merchandise safely in homes
- Maintains proper staging and loading areas
- Properly samples merchandise
- Familiarizes self with merchandise
- Inspects in coming merchandise and informs Warehouse Manager of all damages
- Assists in maintaining a clear, safe, clean warehouse
- Assists in picking up merchandise from other stores and reports any discrepancies
- Maintains a neat appearance and professional attitude
- Maintains proper paperwork, obtains customer signatures on tickets, ensures CODs are paid and accounted for
- Obeys all safety rules
- Assists in physical store inventories
- Assist Warehouse Manager and Store Manager when needed
- Operate GPS assisted delivery system and company cell phone, when applicable and appropriate

management skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, reports and documents such as delivery paperwork, merchandise tickets, safety rules and regulations
Must be flexible and have the ability to perform under pressure
Ensure that work area is properly maintained in a neat, orderly fashion
Perform duties for other personnel who are absent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of the Warehouse Helper, the employee will be regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk, talk, hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. This employee is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch. This position requires the employee to frequently move or lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and occasionally move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques. This person must be able to visually inspect merchandise and delivery documents.
