WHAT YOU’LL DO

The fast-paced position ofWarehouse Customer Service Associate is simple – you must be self-motivated, dependable, and willing to create an overall great experience for our customers by going the extra mile. You have the opportunity of working with our amazing employees and customers throughout the business day, therefore, exceptional Customer Service skills are non-negotiable. This role will keep you on your feet (literally)! This is a labor-intensive opportunity, and as we said you will be on your feet for most of the business day lifting, loading and unloading material.

The responsibilities of this role are diverse but will focus on receiving and restocking various building materials such as: windows, doors, cabinets, interior molding, and stair parts, helping customers with pickup, picking orders for deliveries, and cleaning the Warehouse.

• Being friendly and professional, responding quickly to customer and team member needs.

• Communicate with peers, customers, and vendors respectfully, honestly, and openly.

• The Warehouse Customer Service things:

• Follow processes to confirm all product is being delivered and proactively responds when an item is missing, damaged, or refused.

• Remain willing to have an open mind to change and improve, in addition to providing new ideas that continuounly develope our efficiences.

• Ensure merchandise is in great condition, accurately accounted for, and delivered to customers on time.

• Pulling merchandise safely and accurately for loading onto trucks and helping customers and staff move merchandise safely.

• Receive job specific training to improve your skill set to advance your career.

• Utilize basic functions of WMS system on a scanner gun; (including but not limited to receive, put away, move, cycle inventory, select, and customer ship).

• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment.

• Safely operate hi-los to move material.

• Receive inbound material, and store appropriately.

WHAT YOU NEED

Qualifications:

• 2 years warehouse / material handling experience (preferred) *willing to train the right candidate(s)*

• Warehouse Operations: 1 year (preferred)

Interpersonal Skills:

• A strong steward of Mans culture and core values

• Ability to quickly learn, use and adapt to software, such as WMS system

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; reliable transportation is required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a Warehouse where you will be operating and surrounded by machinery and equipment including but not limited to hi-los, panel saws, and table saws. You will be working both indoors and outdoors in all of Michigan’s lovely weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Capable of physically demanding work with the ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs. consistently.

• Heavy lifting – up to 100 lbs.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Days and hours of the week are Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm+ and at least one Saturday per month. Oftentimes, overtime is required by the nature of this position, so having a flexible schedule is important. Exceptional opportunities for overtime are rewarded.
