Warehouse Counter

This teammate will maintain the warehouse and Warehouse Counter in a professional manner taking care of all customers.

• Locate, issue, and return parts with extreme accuracy using the warehouse and maintenance computer system.
• Receiving inventory, completing audits, and entering information in our database.
• Verify correctness of stock replenishment and non-stock shipments while putting items in the proper locations.
• Train, certify, and operate a forklift and overhead crane to Nucor standards.
• Work in both upper and lower levels of the warehouse while keeping the areas safe and the inventory clean and accurate.
• The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts and weekends as required. 

Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor's new sheet mill with advanced steel making capabilities and lower carbon emissions.  This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational after two years of construction.  The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills and is located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Experience in inventory auditing and tracking.
• Computer skills including Email, Excel, and Teams.

• Previous industrial warehouse experience
• Experience in software such as Oracle or SAP
• Prior forklift and/or overhead crane experience
