Warehouse Coordinator - 2/3 Shift

Cacique is currently looking to add a Warehouse Coordinator to our expanding team in Amarillo. Under the direction of the warehouse manager, the Warehouse Coordinator maintains many of the same responsibilities as a warehouse associate, keeping track of inventory, overseeing shipments and deliveries, and keeping the warehouse organized. In addition to the organizational skills and physical strength required to manage and store inventory, the Warehouse Coordinator job description also requires the ability to manage any administrative and clerical details necessary to keep the warehouse running smoothly.

Position Description

The Warehouse Coordinator processes orders, accepts deliveries, and keeps the warehouse organized, which includes everything from physically moving product around the warehouse space to properly maintaining all shipping and receiving records.

Must have Stand up and Reach Experience and Forklift Experience.

Work Environment

• Majority of a typical workday is spent in a warehouse.
• Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled unless the product being stored requires the maintenance of a specific temperature. However, expect to be working in a cold environment (temperatures on average of 38 degrees Fahrenheit).
• Conditions in the warehouse can be dangerous, as tasks involved the operation of heavy machinery and transporting of large product loads.
• Tasks are physically demanding, requiring long hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.

DUTIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Tracks and logs all product inventory, ensuring there are no discrepancies or losses.
• Accepts deliveries of company products and stores them accordingly.
• Orders and restocks new supplies.
• Receives customer and client orders.
• Packs and ships orders for delivery.
• Inspects all orders being received and shipped, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items.
• Reports and returns damaged product.
• Operates forklift and stand up and reach machinery required for transporting large orders and heavy products.
• Addresses and resolves any complains about products, shipping speeds, or damaged items.
• Uses WMS (Warehouse Management Software) programs to monitor inventory and balance accounts.
• Keeps warehouse area clean and organized.
• Reports to warehouse supervisor / management to alert them of any issues with shipping or receiving.

• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Follow all required work safety practices, including but not limited to: Lock Out Tag Out requirements, wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling and fall restraints.
• Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.

• Possesses strong organizational skills.
• Is detail-oriented and capable of noticing small errors on orders or defective aspects of products.
• Maintains physical stamina and strength required to move heavy equipment and product weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Works well with others.
• Exhibits strong communication skills, essential for working with other employees and with customers.
• Demonstrates knowledge of WMS computer systems, and the ability to fix any unexpected glitches with these systems.
• Demonstrates the alertness and physical dexterity required to operate heavy machinery.
• Must be capable of managing time effectively and multi-tasking as necessary.
• Demonstrates familiarity with all warehouse safety precautions and can observe these at all times.

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be certified to operate forklifts and other machinery used for moving and transporting products.
• One year of standup & reach forklift experience required.
• Must have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory management software used by the company.
