Overview: As a Warehouse Inventory Quality Control Specialist in the shooting sports industry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and integrity of inventory management processes related to shooting sports equipment and accessories. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain quality standards throughout the warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. You will work closely with warehouse management and staff to identify and address any quality issues, implement improvement initiatives, and uphold regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Inspection of Firearms and Accessories: Conduct detailed inspections of firearms, ammunition, optics, and other shooting sports products to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify any defects, damages, or discrepancies and initiate appropriate corrective actions.

2. Daily Photos: Maintain photographic documentation of inventory items to support quality control efforts and facilitate accurate record-keeping.

3. Serialized Inventory Initial Scan: Conduct initial serialized inventory scans to ensure accurate tracking of serialized items and identify any discrepancies.

4. Un-Serialized Cycle Counts: Perform un-serialized cycle counts on validate inventory levels and identify any discrepancies requiring further investigation.

5. Monthly Retail Serialized Inventory: Conduct serialized inventory audits monthly to verify stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure compliance with retail inventory management standards.

6. Bi-Annual Un-Serialized Inventory Organization & Plan: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for organizing and conducting bi-annual un-serialized inventory counts. Coordinate with warehouse management and staff to ensure thorough inventory checks and accurate record-keeping.

7. Re-bins When Needed: Assist in the process of rebinding inventory items as needed to optimize storage space, improve organization, and facilitate efficient picking and packing operations.

8. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of inventory transactions, quality inspections, and regulatory compliance activities. Generate reports and documentation for internal use and regulatory agencies as required.

9. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within warehouse inventory management. Propose and implement enhancements to quality control procedures, inventory tracking systems, and workflow processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and quality control roles within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
