Food Careers
- The purpose of the Warehouse Clerical (Night) position is to perform data entry and report distribution to ensure BEK operational efficiencies are met and maintained.
- Perform data entry for the shipping department to ensure records are accurately maintained.
- Complete reports and distribute appropriately to maintain organizational records.
- Perform other duties as required by management to ensure operational standards are met and maintained.
- Enter data into Excel spreadsheets for selector, loader, and forklift productivity.
- Distribute productivity reports on a nightly basis.
- Ensure out-of-stock codes are accurately maintained
- Complete reports and distribute appropriately to maintain organizational records.
- Monitor Keith Order Selection system to ensure weight variances are minimized.
- Review customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and/or requisitions to ensure appropriate movement, distribution and/or shipment of product are completed.
- Distribute accurate purchase/sales orders to holding docks for will-call for processing.
- Perform other duties as required by management to ensure operational standards are met and maintained.
- Answer telephone calls from DSR’s (Distributor Sales Representatives), etc.
- Ensure warehouse is safe and accessible for all personnel, keeping work areas clear of debris and/or excess inventory.
- Competency Requirements
- Knowledge and Experience – The following are education and experience requirements for the Warehouse Clerical (Night).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- 3 months of work-related experience required; or combination of education and experience
- Food service industry experience preferred
- Computer and data-entry skills required; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to read and interpret rules/guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions
- Basic data entry (10-key by touch) skills
- Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
- Basic math skills, as well as ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
