About the Job:
Purpose of Job:
Responsible for all CDL knowledge of over-the-road rules and regulations and followed all safety practices during scheduled hours while operating and transferring materials at the Belen site.
Essential Function 1:
- Must comply with all safety and quality practices at the Belen site
- Must inspect truck and trailer per DOT requirements.
- Must understand all IC material transfer processes for material locations.
- Drives vehicles and transports them between warehouses and moves trailers in the yard to their appropriate locations
- Must be licensed to drive CDL on public roadways
- Ensure participation and cooperation in company-implemented ESHA programs. Follow all company safety rules
- Responsible for maintenance of required logs, data, records, and/ or reports
- Sweeping and cleaning of assigned areas
- Must be able to keep CDL license current.
- May be required to work various shifts
- Must support in other warehouse areas as needed.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Business experience:
- Computer skills in Windows-based programs and Fork truck experience a plus
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, while maintaining a calm professional demeanor
- Excellent Communication Skills are a must
Additional Qualifications:
- CDL A required
- Basic mathematical skills
- Proficiency in English, that is, the ability to read, write, and comprehend work orders, instructions, correspondence, and so on.
