A globally respected leader in the pharmaceutical / medical device industry is is seeking to hire a Warehouse Automation Engineer to help design and initiate Warehouse Automation at their flagship location in the Dallas metro area. The Warehouse Automation Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the automation of warehouse processes and ensuring optimization of operations while minimizing downtime.

The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record with implementing automation projects in a warehouse environment. The Warehouse Automation Engineer will be expected to work collaboratively with the warehouse team to determine the best course of action in maintaining and updating automation processes while adhering to compliance requirements.

The Warehouse Automation Engineer should be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual who possesses excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate should have a passion for automation and should thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee the automation of warehouse processes for increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop, evaluate, and modify systems and procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to ensure seamless integration of automated processes.
  • Present findings and recommend solutions for operational problems to the leadership team.
  • Support the deployment, installation, and maintenance of robots and their framework.
  • Troubleshoots for flaws or defects in robotic systems and or processes.
  • Manage the delivery of automated systems from concept through to implementation.
  • Documents processes, standard operating procedures for the robotic systems processes, and develops/instructs with technical training.
  • Collaborates with robotic vendors, and the operations team, on the processes, included, but not limited to continuous improvement, design, and controls.
  • May be assigned to support projects to optimize operations and processes across two additional US sites. Some domestic travel may be require

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with industrial robotics, or within a Warehouse Automation environment.
  • Proven experience in managing automation projects from inception through to completion, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Working knowledge of PLC controls and programming
  • Experience with project management and/or capital engineering
  • Working knowledge of material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
