PRIMARY PURPOSE

Receiving, storing and issuing or assisting users in locating needed warehouse items, as well as utilizing computer programs in order to store and track physical inventory. Warehouse is defined as the physical warehouse buildings and other assigned storage containers, yards or facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain up-to-date safety certifications as required by company (forklift certification, Smith driving).
• Operate forklifts, vehicles and equipment, as required.
• Learn and apply investment recovery practices and approaches with supervision.
• Perform all duties with strict adherence to Kinder Morgan’s Corporate Policy.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge and ability to run multiple inventory system processes.
• Apply standards and processes consistently with supervision.
• Recommend new and revised processes and take necessary measures to ensure best practices.
• Provide recommendations for changes to ensure compliance with Procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist with logistics coordination to transport materials.
• Unload, count, mark and reconcile materials.
• Organize yard, shelf and pallet inventory.
• Stage project materials and prepare materials for shipment (shrink wrapping, banding, boxing, labeling).
• Load materials onto warehouse shelf, truck, covered van, or flat bed.
• Deliver material to field locations, as needed.
• Run errands to assist with facility or inventory management.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on forklift, vehicle, and equipment.
• Turn off and secure or lock up equipment when not in use.
• Clean and maintain work space and operating area.
• Facilitate surplus sales and redeployments throughout Kinder Morgan.
• Participate in the maintenance and support of the Lawson Item Master.
• Coordinate and monitor field-conducted inventory audits.
• Act as a liaison between the Business Unit and the Investment Recovery Company.
• Work with internal and external customers to achieve annual investment recovery goal.
• Participate in industry training and trade shows, as required.
• Execute Purchase Agreements and Bills of Sale.
• Promote Procurement services throughout the organization.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of orders for project materials delivered to staging warehouse.
• Assist buyers and vendors with material order issues with supervision.
• Provide timely updates to Project Management on project material status.
• Resolve any material discrepancies, shortages or damages.
• Ensure product moves seamlessly.
• Coordinate loading out of project materials with construction contractors, freight carriers and/or Project Support.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to identify process flow efficiencies and develop standardized procedures.
• Operate under all safety, environmental and ethical guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervision.
