Goodwill can help ensure you are “fully-stocked” for a successful and rewarding job in the warehouse industry through enrollment in our Warehouse & Logistics Training program. Goodwill’s customized, classroom-style courses provide participants personal instruction and applied skills; permanent job placement; nationally recognized certifications and advancement opportunities; follow-along support; and more.  

Training classes occur in person for a period of two weeks, Monday- Friday, 8:30-4:30pm. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be placed with a community warehouse.

Pay: $17.29 per hour.

OBJECTIVE:
The Warehouse/ Dock Associate will primarily work in a warehouse environment moving, loading, unloading and staging trucks/trailers following Goodwill’s warehousing and safety procedures and guidelines. The Dock Associate will work with our internal customers and will need to provide excellent customer service displaying an “Attitude of Gratitude” in order to support the mission of the organization. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use and become certified on forklift, pallet-jack, hand dolly or other equipment or tools to effectively move and store donated product.
Separate merchandise for donation trailer and place into the appropriate inventory area. 
Assists in setup of the auction and bulk area, also assist in deposing unsold merchandise and trash.
Build and maintain effective quality working relationships with management, co-workers, customer and donors. Treats everyone with dignity and respect.  Immediately advises supervisor of significant and unexpected problems. 
Ensure that all trucks and trailers are loaded, unloaded and staged according to instructions to minimize down time and provide smooth operations across departments.
Ensure that the warehouse and trailers are well organized, stocked and clean to ensure items are stored and secured in an efficient manner.
Follow warehouse storage and stacking procedures, ensuring items are stored in their appropriate areas.
Safeguard all Goodwill property including donated goods.  Reports any suspicious behavior, incidents of theft, or unauthorized possession/removal of Goodwill property.  Help provide a safe working environment for you, customers and fellow employees.
Cross-train in other departments/areas and act as back-up for other areas as required.
keeps aisles, dock area, doorways, turns and passage ways clear. Keep storage areas free from materials that can cause slips or trips. 
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous storage, warehouse or shipping/receiving experience is helpful.
• Able to obtain forklift certification to safely operate equipment, which would require a drug screen test.
• Have a high attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
• Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending and lifting up to 8 hours per day.
• Able to lift up to 75lbs, use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
• Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff and peers.
