Daikin Applied is now hiring full-time Material Handlers for our Dayton, OH Distribution Center. We have various openings on 1st and 2nd shift.

Summary: Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads work order or pick tickets or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, moved, or processed.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, pallet jack, conveyor, or other material handling equipment.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs banding and stretch wrapping to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information or cases or containers.
- Packs and prepares cartons for shipping to customers.
- Ensures accuracy or order and security of packaging to avoid damage in shipment.
- Operate a pallet jack and forklift on a regular basis.
- Able to meet quality and productivity deliverables.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of Industrial Vehicle operating experience preferred
