SalaryThe Warehouse Associate position includes responsibilities for all aspects of warehouse functions, including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing the product for delivery to the customer. At the same time it requires that the warehouse be kept clean, safe and tidy. It requires teamwork skills and also being reliable to work for themselves. Ability to read, write and solve simple mathematical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of all necessary equipment in the warehouse area including: forklifts, pallets, compactor, cleaning machinery, and pallet jack.
- Control inventory and inform warehouse managers of low inventory levels.
- Receive the products that arrive at the building by suppliers or customers accurately and quickly.
- Accurately place products on shelves, racks, refrigerators, or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
- Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers.
- Performs final production processing such as cleaning, labeling, inspection, wrapping and packing of parts and other tasks as needed.
- Make sure all shelves are well equipped with the right items
- Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Properly report/record any discrepancies.
- Assemble and generate item selection so that orders can be shipped to customers.
- Preparation of all shipping documentation.
- Able to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
Physical requirements:
- Able to move/lift up to 50 pounds. Unaided
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment (Cold/Heat)
- It often requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and/or chest to the ground.
- The position may require the use of stairs for upper level selection.
Preferred qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Bilingual Spanish / English
