The purpose of this position is:

  • Perform any number of order fulfillment tasks that may include receiving, shipping, put away, cycle counting, picking, scanning, wrapping, sort and segregation, replenishment, order consolidation, packaging, quality functions, office coordinating, trouble shooting, re-packing, yard truck functions and loading of items as outlined by work instructions.
  • Use of a computer and scanning system to receive and complete tasks.

 

Education, Experience and Physical Requirements: 

  • High school or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Basic computer skills at the data entry level.
  • Experience in a warehousing environment driving a fork truck or other PIV preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing and/or sitting while operating powered industrial vehicles or at work stations.

 

This position includes significant duties such as:

  • Perform audits to ensure compliance to documented procedures.
  • Counting and categorizing inventory on site.
  • Preparation and packaging of customer ordered inventory.
  • Investigation of inventory inaccuracies.
  • Document all reported equipment malfunctions to the shift supervisor as needed.
  • Use of manual and automated pallet jacks required.
  • In compliance with cross training, perform multiple tasks within department boundaries.
  • Recommend improvements to process and/or equipment that enhance performance and accuracy.
  • Train others in the tasks assigned per established procedures.
  • Support warehouse activities such as iKaizens, safety teams and events committees as requested.
  • Operating the following powered industrial vehicles are required based on the specific job task.
    • Four-Wheel Counterbalance
    • Rider Pallet
    • Stand Up Counterbalance
    • Sit-Down Counterbalance
    • Stock Picker
    • Narrow Aisle Reach Truck

 

Housekeeping/Cleaning:

  • Help maintain a safe and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Sweeping, dusting, picking up garbage.
  • Cycle Counting
  • Quality Audits
  • Quality Inspections
  • Packing station, LTL, FTL, Inventory, Parcel, Roller Bottles, Inbound/Outbound
  • Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined by the Corning policies and guidelines.
  • Adhering to all Corning Values. 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Temperature controlled warehouse. Some exposure to rain, heat, cold and weather elements.
  • Some exposure to elements of dirt, dust, and noise associated with an active warehouse environment.

The range for this position is $19.00 hourly rate - $21.50 hourly rate.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
