SUMMARY:

Working closely with the Inventory Coordinator, the Warehouse & Inventory Associate is responsible for material handling, photography and sample management of stone materials in and out of our warehouse. The Warehouse Associate is also a key person in keeping stone slab inventory organized, clean and safe.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs specialized material handling of natural stone product utilizing motorized equipment and tools as needed
• Creates photography of marble and granite slabs using SlabSmith photobooth system
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping to high standards
• Ensures safety of warehouse and that safety measures are being adhered to
• Assists Inventory Coordinator with inspections of all new materials received in warehouse
• Labels, boxes, and ships stone samples to clients per sample requests

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Other duties required for the overall operations of the organization including but not limited to assisting co-workers and clients as needed.

EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Professional demeanor and attitude
• Overhead crane operations experience a plus
• Stone slab handling experience a plus
• Multi-tasking and organization skills
• Basic word processing, spreadsheet and email skills
• Basic math skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

None.

WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT:

This position will spend most of the time working in a non-air conditioned, warehouse environment that can be relatively loud and can be wet. Will be exposed to all types of weather conditions when dumping bins with forklift outside or assisting at a job site.

WORK SCHEDULE:

8-10 hour workdays Monday through Friday.

Marmi Natural Stone is a drug-free workplace and requires a pre-hire drug screening.

All candidates must be eligible for work in the United States.

All candidates must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and have a current drivers’ license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
