Job Description
This individual will lay up the decorative HPL, Veneers, and foil material according to the press schedule under the direction of the Branch Manager. A full-service warehouse, distribution and fulfillment company specializing in interior building materials, distribution and B2B fulfillment services are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Lay- up Tech to assist with our long-term growth within our fast-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Acquires the necessary material needed for each run.
· Lays up the material for production.
· Prevents any pattern defects, crumbs, or dirt in the material laid-up.
· Counts the patterns of each run delivered to the press.
· Support Warehouse Supervisors daily efforts with order picking and cycle counting inventory.
· RF Experience preferred.
· Experience in picking orders and/or cycle counting in a warehouse environment.
· Ability & willingness to learn how to drive a cherry picker, reach truck and/or forklift.
· Ability to multi-task, count and detail oriented
· Maintain all required certifications required and OSHA and company safety programs.
· Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
· Maintain equipment to operating standards
Tasks:
· Maintain order file production dates.
· Follow appropriate safety procedures.
· Maintain logs of working hours of service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
Skill Requirements:
· Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
· English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
· Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
· Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
· Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Tools used in this occupation:
· Glue Spreader
· Panel Press
· Hand-held RF scanner
· Lifts — Hand lifts; Fork lifts, Hydraulic lifts
Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
· Basic computer & math skills - Knowledge of WMS Systems preferred.
* Forklift certified.
· Good communication skills and fluent in English.
· Ability to clearly compose and comprehend E-mail communication.
· Responsible and dedicated work ethic.
· Valid, active Driver s License.
Type: This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
