Warehouse Associate

TheWarehouse Associate at ASG will operate our Distribution Center. The Warehouse Associates' primary function is ensuring that all material is received, inventoried, and prepared for distribution. The secondary function will be loading and delivering material and equipment to various job sites as needed. The Warehouse Associate will be acting both as an administrator as well as a shipper/receiver when required. They will professionally conduct themselves when corresponding with customers, vendors as well as other employees.

What you’ll do: (Including, but not limited to):

• Inventory control and management
• Accepting and inventorying of inbound deliveries from several vendors
• Accurately fulfilling/staging of outbound material packages for the installation teams.

• Checking deliveries for accuracy/damage
• Reconciling any shortages or damages
• Facilitate the return of damaged and/or extra materials
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Verify all BOL’s and send same to accounting
• Maintaining inventory levels of all “in stock” materials
• Delivering materials to job sites on an as needed basis
• Step in as an assistant on an as needed basis in the event an installer calls out
• Waste management coordination of dumpster removal and replacement
• Safe Operation of Forklift
• Ability to drive and operate a 250/2500 truck with equipment trailer in tow.

What you’ll need:

General

• Possess a valid Driver’s License
• 1-2 years of experience is preferred

Technical

• Forklift Certification
• Ability to operate a company vehicle

• Ability to move heavy pallets of material
• Ability to follow Safety and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines

Desired Skills

• High Organizing Skills with attention to details
• Ability to operate laptop and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of electrical and or telecom materials is preferred
• Ability to work independently

Job Type: Full-Time – Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Your Working Environment:

• Typical office and warehouse setting
• Ability to drive a forklift to load and unload trucks. Ability to lift 50+lbs, climb a ladder, bend, and stand on concrete floor. Refill and maintain fuel for forklift
