Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our team at Alabama Poolworks. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who are retired or looking for flexible work hours. The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, focusing on product delivery, order processing, receiving, and overall warehouse maintenance.
Responsibilities:
1. Product Delivery:
- Safely and efficiently deliver pool and spa products to customers in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure the integrity of delivered products.
2. Ordering Products:
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to place orders for replenishing stock.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining optimal stock levels.
3. Receiving Products:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and ensure accuracy in product deliveries.
- Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations.
4. Warehouse Maintenance:
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in conducting audits as needed.
- Implement and follow warehouse best practices for space utilization.
- Perform physical inventory count and suggest stock adjustments on discrepancies.
- Assist in Purchase Order Returns/Return Goods Authorization (RGA) claims.
5. Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service during product deliveries and interactions.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or a related field is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (ie: 50-100lbs) and operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retired individuals or those seeking part-time employment are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with pool and spa products is a plus.
- Prior warehouse, inventory, stocking and retail experience is a plus.
