Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our client's team in Clifton Park, NY. The primary responsibility of this role is to build crates according to specifications, ensuring the safe and secure packaging of products for shipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct crates using various tools and materials, following provided blueprints or specifications.
- Measure and cut materials to precise dimensions, ensuring proper fit and structural integrity.
- Assemble crate components securely, utilizing nails, screws, adhesives, or other fastening methods as needed.
- Inspect finished crates for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Assist with loading and unloading crates onto trucks or pallets, as required.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines effectively.
- Communicate any issues or concerns regarding crate construction or materials to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and nail guns.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and assembly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or evenings as needed.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Shift: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Lunch: 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- Pay Range: $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
