The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, picking, packing and shipping product orders in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and must be forklift certified. This individual should be able to work both independently and with a team with attention to detail. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick, pack and fulfill FedEx parcel and Less Than Full Truck Load (“LTL”) orders in an efficient and timely manner and ensure accuracy
- Follow CIC procedures for packing orders to ensure our products arrive without damage at their destinations
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Separate, receive, stock and rotate merchandise
- Identify damaged, lost, missing or non-compliant merchandise
- Learn and use handheld devices using RF Smart technology in the picking process
- Understand and abide by Foreign Trade Zone (“FTZ”) compliance guidelines
- Understand and abide by Hazardous Access Critical Control Point (“HACCP”) procedures
- Label FTZ merchandise
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and treat all merchandise with care
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
- Operate a forklift, if you are assigned to fork lift duties
- Physically count inventory items as needed from time to time, and especially on December 31 of every year
- Delivers & pick-ups.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least six months of experience in a commercial warehouse environment
- Hold a current forklift certification if you are assigned to fork lift duties
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, as well as overtime and Saturdays from September – November
- Ability to learn and understand procedures and policies
- Ability to prioritize assigned and recurring tasks
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to learn procedures and apply knowledge quickly
