Warehouse Associate

Job Responsibilities:

• Receiving and Unloading: Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and verify contents against purchase order.
• Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring accuracy and efficient use of space.
• Picking and Packing: Fulfill orders by picking items from shelves or storage locations according to pick lists, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for defects, damages, or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors or quality control personnel.
• Shipping and Receiving: Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, packing, and loading onto trucks or carriers. Coordinate with shipping companies and carriers for timely deliveries.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, stack and transport goods as needed.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Keep warehouse clean and organized at all times.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, incoming and outgoing shipments, and other warehouse activities using a computerized systems or manual logs.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Work with collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve department goals and meet customer demands effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, order fulfilment, or warehouse operations in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• ******High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to lift or move heavy objects safely, often up to 50 pounds or more.
• Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and orders.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
