- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders
- Unload, inspect, and store incoming materials in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule shipments and arrange for pick-up and delivery
- Ensure proper packaging of items to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the system accordingly
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues related to shipments and inventory to the supervisor
- Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Skills:
- Prior experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Proficient in using computers and inventory management systems
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
