Position:
As Warehouse Associate, your duties will include (but not be limited to) maintaining smooth operations of all day-to-day operations as they relate to receiving, order selecting, bin slotting, and sanitation. The Warehouse Associate provides exceptional customer service and support to our internal/external customers. You are responsible for FIFO, warehouse organization, as well as proper storage of items. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
The decanter also assists the logistic & supply chain team when the decanting job is completed.
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Essential functions:
- Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment.
- Complies to all internal and external FSQ requirements, (Food Safety documentation, HACCP regulation, proper PPE and GMP compliance).
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Accepting delivery of inventory.
- Counting and confirming inventory.
- Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
- Communicating errors to relevant parties.
- Storing inventory in an accessible manner.
- Receives incoming materials, supplies, and equipment. Unloads truck. Compares received items to purchase orders to verify accuracy and quantity of shipment. Inspects material for damage and defects and takes appropriate action. Uncrates and assembles materials if directed and removes and disposes of unneeded packing materials.
- Performs cycle counts and physical inventory counts as directed by the supervisor.
- Delivers materials to appropriate departments accurately and obtains the proper authorization of delivered materials.
- Assures correct materials are pulled from stock and accurately documented, tagged, and staged with the location noted.
- Observes and complies with all safe work practices, wears protective clothing, and reports unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Demonstrates use of quality and process improvement in daily operations.

Requirements:Requirements, but not limited to: This position requires flexible work schedules within a 24/7 work environment. The airline catering industry is a seasonal business and certain peak times of the year are black out periods for PTO (paid time off), e.g. year end, summer. This position requires experience in food safety, sanitization, as well as filling out paperwork pertaining to the traceability of the product.
Qualifications
- Experience within a similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and dry goods
- Must be able to lift, move and manipulate heavy items daily
- Ability to work in refrigerated workspace daily
- Bilingual Engl./Span. is a big plus
- Team player that assists others when needed
- Reliability and punctuality are key
- Forklift certification is a big plus
- Experience with pallet jack operations
- Being highly productive
- Able to work 8+ hour shifts
- Weekends and holidays will be required
