What you get to do:
- Interact with guests by greeting and providing excellent service
- Provide prompt, proper service to guests as set forth by management to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction
- Review daily specials, explain menu items, make suggestions and recommendations, take orders and ensure the orders are filled in a timely manner
- Check and ensure appropriate drinking age and monitor guest consumption of alcohol, following all company and state guidelines
- Operate cash register for cash or credit card transactions
- Ensure that all food and beverage served are of the quality set forth by the management as designated by the recipes
- Review daily specials, take orders and ensure the orders are filled in a timely manner
- Set up and clear tables in assigned areas
- Perform side work, which includes many cleaning duties and stocking
- Keep all work areas and stations clean, orderly and sanitary
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed
- At least 18 years of age
- Comfortable and able to work with all food types, including food allergens in any dining facility
- At least 3 years serving experience in a full service restaurant
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate effectively with ambassadors, guests and leadership
- Able to provide exceptional guest service
- Excellent cash handling skills
- Able to learn and effectively use computerized guest order system
- Able to complete and successfully pass required SafeStaff training
- Able to complete provided Responsible Vendor Training (Alcohol)
- Able to maintain composure in stressful situations, multitask, make quick decisions, troubleshoot problems with training, and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to push/pull up to 55 pounds
- Able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds
- Able to stand for entire shift, up to 8 hours
- Able to move freely around work areas
- Able to bend, reach, twist, and turn with complete flexibility
- Able to work in a team environment
- Comfortable with completing all cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
- Available to work varying shifts/hours based on park needs, to include opening, mid, and closing shifts; night events, weekends, and holidays
What else is important:
- Previous full service restaurant experience preferred
- Bilingual preferred
