OVERVIEW:
Virtualis-VR is the premier free-roam virtual reality experience in the country. A combination of the most advanced VR technology, 4-D effects, and multiple genres of content distinguishes Virtualis-VR from other competitors. We strive to provide the best customer experiences, not only with our technology and content but also by our team members ensuring every visit to Virtualis-VR is truly memorable. Experience Host's knowledge of the VR systems, experience storylines, and positive energy is fundamental to our success.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Experience Host provides friendly and energetic greetings to guests upon arrival. They direct and oversee patrons through the entire VR experience and process. Hosts must verify all customer information and waivers are correctly obtained and payment has been processed. They will clearly describe the VR experience and procedure, manage patrons donning the VR backpacks and headsets, and guide them through the VR experience. Hosts must manage the VR system via the user interface for operating the experiences and shepherding the clients through the virtual reality worlds. They must continually verify between guest experiences that all equipment is prepared, connected, functioning properly, batteries charged, and all VR equipment surfaces are clean and sanitized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Understand the main technologies of the virtual reality operational systems.
  • Operate the experiences through the user interface tablets.
  • Monitoring and maintaining correct equipment functionality of the PC backpacks and headsets.
  • Verifying all equipment is charged and operating correctly.
  • Greeting guests in a positive and upbeat manner.
  • Guiding guests throughout the experiences safely.
  • Cleaning and satanizing equipment before and after each use.
  • Offering customers disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers before and after experiences.
  • Answering questions regarding experiences.
  • Treating guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
  • Observing the waiting area and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied seating and tables.
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, organizing, and stocking merchandise areas.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain health standards of disinfecting all equipment and handrails prior to any customers using equipment and entering experiences.
  • Offering guests to take a group photo after their experience.
  • Assuring guests are satisfied with their experience and postpositively to social media platforms.
  • Remaining current on product offerings, booking procedures, pricing, and the time required for experiences.
  • Redirect client challenges to management as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION:
  • Experience Hosts start at $15.00/hour, compensation is continually evaluated against performance, hosts can earn up to $20.00/hr depending on performance and promotion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally interact and communicate with management, team members, and guests in a positive manner).
  • Computer knowledge to understand the operational workflow of the virtual reality experience systems and basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to wash hands and answer phones. The employee will occasionally encounter hazards, including slipping and tripping. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
