Job description

SUMMARY

The VP, SVOD Analysis & Insights is obsessed with data and loves to dive into the numbers to drive meaningful business insights that help determine the best path forward for the business.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and own the SVOD reporting and insights strategy and roadmap.
  • Identify and lead the needed 360 business analyses across the SVOD business (direct-to-consumer and distribution partners) to understand the business drivers.
  • Responsible for generating graphical representations and reports that synthesize insights to tell stories related to the SVOD business performance, including user engagement, marketing, partnerships, and content consumption across all platforms, devices and partners.
  • Deliver actionable insights to uncover not just what is happening but why and how it is happening, by also closely partnering with Distribution, Finance, Marketing and Product to understand business activities and drivers.
  • Responsible for ongoing business reporting including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, alongside deeper-dive ad hoc projects in conjunction with the BI/Data team.
  • Act as main business stakeholder for the SVOD reporting dashboards and tools used for pulling data. Work with BI/Data team to define requirements and ensure data is cleaned and validated.
  • Partner with Product team to support analyses that help the team understand the optimal user experiences that deliver on the agreed KPIs.
  • Seek out and understand reporting anomalies and what they mean for the business.
  • Democratize the data so that all stakeholders have access to the information they need to run the business. Share learnings in group meetings and establish/manage a reporting hub where insights can be easily accessed by relevant parties.
  • Willing to roll up sleeves - support the team with analyses or analytical support as needed.


BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in insights, analytics, strategy or similar type role.
  • Prior experience with Direct to Consumer or Streaming business.
  • Bachelor’s degree or additional training in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Strategic thinker with ability to derive actionable conclusions and recommendations from data.
  • Experience creating visually compelling PowerPoint presentations telling high impact narratives with data.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Tableau (or equivalent data visualization tools).
  • Experience with one of SQL, R, or Python.
  • Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose.


The salary range for this job is between $186,100 - $262,100 annually. Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
