Job Overview:
We are seeking a Vice President (VP) of Strategy and Department Operations for the Service and Supervision team. The Service and Supervision team, which sits within LPL's Client Success organization, is comprised of over 1,500 largely frontline staff responsible for delivering exceptional day-to-day support, guidance, and protection to LPL's network of independent advisors, institutions, and staff. Teams are comprised of advisor and end investor-facing call center agents as well as supervisory principals monitoring advisor activity for adherence to regulations.
The VP, Strategy and Department Operations will focus on strategic enablement and execution for Service and Supervision, reporting to the SVP, Head of Strategy and Department Operations / Chief of Staff to the Head of Service and Supervision. This individual will drive multi-year investment planning, transformation program management, executive support and management reporting for the full Service and Supervision organization.
Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and regularly refresh three-year team vision, strategic pillars and associated detailed initiatives driving technology and headcount investment roadmap; run annual strategic planning session with senior leadership team to validate assumptions and build business cases estimating cost, advisor benefit, and ROI for initiatives.
  • Manage "big rock" projects against strategic pillars through management meeting routines and comprehensive program management, driving accountability across the organization for completion of milestones as outlined in goals.
  • Draft presentations conveying Service and Supervision transformation vision and progress, "telling the story" to our management committee and board of directors
  • Lead and contribute to various cross-functional initiatives spanning transformation of omni-channel advisor support - from human-assisted to digital - and delivering more personalized and proactive regulatory supervision and frontline compliance solutions.
  • Guide communications, advisor engagement and employee experience strategy and routines in partnership with the rest of the Strategy & Department Operations team as well as Human Capital and Corporate Communications
  • Provide horizon scanning and connections for internal and external benchmarking, networking opportunities, etc.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to report progress against goals in detail to the EVP of Service and Supervision as well as the managing director of Client Success
  • Support the EVP head of Service and Supervision directly in internal and external engagements, e.g., town halls, advisor meetings.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services driving internal strategy or equivalent; management consulting experience also valued.
  • Strategic thinker who can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics and then drive cross-functional execution of those plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to partner effectively with various levels within the organization and influence key decisions.
  • Ability to build presentations that convey a clear story supported by data findings.
  • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time.

Pay Range:
$136,120-$204,180/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
