A day in the life
Reporting into the Managing Director, Global Head of Strategic Capital, this individual will work to identify and attract capital for transaction-specific ventures and new vehicles that will complement Prologis' fund offering and Prologis's strong balance sheet. This VP-level role will engage directly with investors to work through opportunities and structures, following up on due diligence matters and problem solving throughout. This individual will collaborate globally across internal teams to identify and address portfolio needs and assist with tax and financial planning matters.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Advocate and implement Strategic Capital allocation decisions that align with the organization's broader strategic goals and financial objectives.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of industry trends, competitive landscape, and internal financial data to inform investment decisions.
  • Negotiate and structure new ventures.
  • Partner with functional leaders across the organization (e.g., operations, finance, capital deployment) to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Monitor joint ventures and investment portfolios, ensuring that they meet the organization's intended financial and strategic outcomes.
  • In partnership with finance, tax and treasury teams, monitor the capital structure and debt portfolio of the organization, including potential re-financings and other capital market activities.

Building blocks for success
Required
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in commercial real estate, preferably in logistics sector
  • Experience as a principal with transactions of varying complexity, not just core asset deals
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of corporate finance principles, investment valuation techniques, and risk management

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related field
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions

Hiring Salary Range of: $207,000 - $259,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
