POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President, Portfolio Manager - Individual Markets is part of the Individual Markets team supporting the broad project portfolio. You will be a part of our Individual Markets Strategic Execution team who provide strategic leadership, business management and coordination in support of Global Atlantic's Individual Markets project, priorities and key initiatives. You will support key strategic initiatives to ensure our Individual Markets business can most effectively and efficiently continue our exceptional growth.
The VP, Portfolio Manager must be a nimble and flexible business leader who can evolve with the changing needs of the business by creating sustainable relationships, processes, and technology solutions to support new initiatives as well as optimizing the current platform.You will work closely with the Head of Strategic Execution, Chief Product Officer, the Chief Operations Officer, and other management team members. This position is open to multiple office locations, preferably located in Hartford, CT.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the development and successful execution of the Individual Markets project roadmap.
  • Own the end-to-end process of project prioritization, governance, budgets, and ensure the delivery of and successful execution of the body of work.
  • Lead the Project Steering Committee for Individual Markets. This includes agenda setting, meeting minutes, and coordination between various heads of business such as Product, Technology, Operations, Legal & Compliance, Distribution to drive prioritization decisions and alignment in execution of strategic priorities.
  • Drive discussions and decisions and identify areas of disconnect in order to ensure clarity across stakeholder groups.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the organization to ensure alignment on project priorities and status
  • Drive clarity through communications across stakeholders and working teams.
  • Develop the format of and content for internal presentations connected to strategic projects and execution.
  • Coordinate updates to Global Atlantic's senior management and Committees as appropriate.
  • Foster a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion for all team members, aligning to and executing company objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 7+ years of strategy with a proven ability to execute initiatives, align teams of stakeholders, and clearly communicate while constantly evaluating the process for improvement opportunities.
  • Experience managing large bodies of work that entail both large and small initiatives that are all critical to our ability to achieve business goals.
  • Strong analytical skills with superior presentation abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the process, recommendations for priorities with supporting rationale, and communicate in a way that is reflective of the audience.
  • Thrives on change and continuous improvement; possesses a high regard for transparency and collaboration.
  • Demonstrates ability to create value through operational and continuous improvement; solutions-oriented with high sense of urgency.
  • Strong collaborating and influencing skills with the ability to appreciate different and varied approaches and opinions in a thoughtful and inclusive manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.
Global Atlantic's base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic's total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.
The base salary range for this role is
$135,000 - $200,000 USD
