Job Summary:

At the heart of Ben Bridge are our incredible people – dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate.  The Vice President of People Services is responsible for shaping and implementing strategic human resources initiatives to benefit our people and the company.  They oversee all aspects of the associate lifecycle, talent management, and organizational development to drive a positive and high-performance workplace culture.  It is critical that the VP of People Services is collaborative, has strong leadership skills, and thinks strategically. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to integrate people strategy into overall business planning.
  • Oversee the function that develops creative sourcing strategies to discover and attract outside talent and oversee and continuously improve hiring practices including recruiting and selection.
  • Identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps, and develop programs to fill those gaps. 
  • Design and implement succession planning including facilitation of a collaborate process that helps leaders identify key roles, name successors, and develop successors so they are ready to advance.
  • Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Address and resolve complex employee issues, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement strategies to enhance employee productivity and engagement.
  • Design and implement progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and reward strong performance.
  • Lead initiatives for organizational effectiveness and change management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, keeping policies and practices up to date.
  • Manage Human Resources, Payroll and Training functions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related degree required. A Master’s degree in OD, HR Management or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience including at least 5 years in an HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience working in a multi-state organization.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, best practices, and current trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels, ranging from associates to executives.

Working Standards:

  • This role is based at the corporate office in Seattle, WA, and operates in a professional office environment.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, photocopiers, and other presentation materials and tools. Periodic preparation for events may include lifting/moving boxes, tables, and other event items.
  • Works with teams in store up to ten (10) days per month.
  • When not in stores, they work a hybrid schedule.
  • May require working on weekends as needed.
  • Up to 50% travel in the US.

Range: $180,000 - $210,000 per year

Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The full-time schedule is designed to provide flex staffing during key events and peak selling times.   As a full-time associate, you will be eligible for health and welfare benefits in addition to an annual bonus.
