Summary/Objective

The VP of Sales is a key member of the Sales Team. This individual will lead the Sales Team to generate new business opportunities and maximizes existing opportunities by generating new sales strategies that develop relations with Target Clients, Current Clients, and Team.

Essential Functions

  • Create sales plans that target potential clients utilizing networking, prospecting, existing databases, platforms, lead generation methods, and referrals.
  • Maintain and modify current CRM (PipeDrive) to maximize visibility of Sales goals and drive accountability through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly measurements.
  • Review and assign opportunities in Pipedrive Sales CRM & Pipeline Management Software
  • Emphasize customer leads and generating sales opportunities in company sales planning.
  • Develop scripts to be used for lead generation and qualification.
  • Participate in client walk-throughs to identify client needs and the project’s scope of work.
  • Communicate sales plans effectively to Leadership and Sales Team during weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly meetings.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for the initiation of services, renewals, commission requests, inspections, collections, etc. in accordance with company policy and timelines.
  • Coordinate with necessary departments (sales, accounting, operations) during start-ups for new accounts and assist as necessary to ensure a smooth transition between sales and operations.
  • Establish and maintain successful business client relationships.
  • Provide extensive communication between the customer, inside Sales Team, Leadership team, and the internal business area(s) to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 or more years’ experience leading successful Sales Teams required.
  • Utility construction network a plus.

  • Sales experience with a proven track record of developing relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills required.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience leading others with customer relations module (CRM) required (PipeDrive preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes is required.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with superior communication skills is required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office or business setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and tablets. Meeting with clients and teams at mutual locations to maximize engagement and establish business relationships

Physical Demands

Mobility required for travel to offsite face-to-face meetings. This role requires the individual to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. This role requires the individual to make substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers often. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full time status. Extended hours may be required based on the business need.

Travel

This role does require travel, out-of-area and overnight travel is to be expected based on client needs, training, or meetings
