VP of Payor Strategy

Our treatment setting is intimate with a high staff-to-client ratio, and an emphasis on individual therapy and highly individualized treatment.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Vice President of Payor Strategy. Reporting directly to the CFO, the VP of Payor Strategy will play a critical role in developing and executing payor strategies to optimize reimbursement, ensure financial sustainability, and support the organization's mission of providing accessible, evidence-based treatment to individuals in need.
Responsibilities Include::
  • Payor Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with payors to secure favorable contract terms and reimbursement rates that align with the organization's financial objectives and clinical standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive payor strategies that support business growth, enhance revenue streams, and mitigate financial risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payor strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Data Analysis and Forecasting: Utilize data analytics and financial modeling techniques to analyze payor performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and forecast revenue trends. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations, reimbursement policies, and industry trends that may impact payor relationships and reimbursement rates. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and payer guidelines.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with payor representatives, industry stakeholders, and advocacy groups to advocate for the needs of the organization and promote collaboration opportunities. Serve as a primary point of contact for payor inquiries and escalations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including clinical leadership, operations, finance, and marketing teams, to align payor strategies with clinical best practices, operational priorities, and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications::
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare payor contracting, revenue cycle management, or related areas, with a focus on strategic planning and negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payors, and managed care organizations.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful payor contract negotiations and revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive results, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, HIPAA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Some travel maybe required.
