About the Role:
The VP of New Business, Emerging is responsible for devising and executing strategies to drive market expansion and revenue growth. Reporting to the GM, Emerging, this role demands a blend of strategic vision, business acumen, and strong leadership to capitalize on growth opportunities in emerging markets with an emphasis on Financial Services and Insurance clients. This role will require a qualified individual to work onsite 3 days per week out of our New York City office.
  • Revenue Growth:
    • Drive the achievement of revenue targets and sales goals
    • Implement effective sales tactics, campaigns, and initiatives to penetrate target markets and acquire new customers
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing clients
  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives
    • Collaborate with the executive team to set sales targets and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall company goals
  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team
    • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration within the sales organization
    • Provide ongoing coaching and development to sales team members to maximize their potential
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
    • Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities
    • Utilize market insights to adjust sales strategies and identify New Business opportunities
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to business growth

Job Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience with a proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the SaaS and digital media industries
  • Strong understanding of SaaS and digital media sales cycles, customer acquisition, and retention strategies
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Bachelor's degree is required

  • Experience working within a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience selling and working with clients in highly regulated sectors such as Financial Services and Insurance

Compensation Package:
The total compensation package is made up of base compensation, equity, and benefits
New York Pay Range: $175,000, - $200,000
