About the Role:
Constellation is seeking a VP New Business, Pharma & Healthcare to break into untapped accounts and leverage prior relationships within the Pharmaceutical sector, specifically marketing teams. In this role, you will report into the GM of Pharma to spearhead Constellation's expansion into the Pharmaceutical industry. You will play a key role in building the revenue generation strategy for this fast-growing team. We are seeking a hunter that is a self-sufficient/proactive go-getter, with experience scaling New Business by selling enterprise software.
Responsibilities include:
  • Expansion of Constellation's New Business for the Pharmaceutical industry by selling our enterprise SaaS platform
  • Experience negotiating & brokering software deals ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to hundreds of thousand dollars
  • Define the sales strategy and build a sales pipeline from scratch
  • Map accounts and build account plans
  • Source & identify high-fit leads & accounts without being fed leads
  • Delivery of target sales number
  • Pitch prospective clients from the point of initial meeting through contract signing
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Operations, Product & other internal teams to appropriately represent Constellation capabilities and ensure successful delivery post-signing

Job Requirements:
This position will require experience generating New Business and substantial revenue by selling our SaaS solution to prospective commercial customers in the Pharmaceutical sector. The ability to prospect, qualify, generate new leads and close deals is a core requirement of this role. You will be required to manage the sales process from initial outreach, contract negotiation/signing, and post-sale check-ins. This role will require a qualified individual to work on-site 3 days per week out of our New York City office and travel to potential clients as needed.
  • Have a rolodex of preexisting books of business in Pharma and leverage those relationships to bring in new accounts
  • Experience with cold outreach, lead generation with new prospects, building & presenting pitch decks, and closing deals
  • Track record of working with pharma marketing, data analytics and IT departments, as well as executive level leadership on sales outreach & negotiations
  • Direct experience selling in a B2B SaaS model (not media)
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis to meet with clients
  • Help drive operational processes to secure and scale New Business revenue
  • Excellent written and verbal communications at all levels
  • Individual contributor but team player mindset

Nice to Haves:
  • Has worked in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience with digital marketing campaigns and assessing analytics
  • Experience with Pharma, Biotech, Insurance, and other related medical & Healthcare fields
  • Effective time management and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field (preferred)

Compensation Package:
The total compensation package is made up of base compensation, equity, and benefits
New York Pay Range: Base compensation $160,000 - $200,000 + Commission
