Job description

The Marketing Lead Analyst will be supporting Citibank Branded Cards Existing Card Marketing campaigns. The analyst will partner with Marketing and analytical teams on generating the audience across channels (mail, email and Citi's digital). The analyst will work with leading edge audience tools and 3rd party partners to build the audience strategies. You will help simplify, innovate, and leverage real time data that will drive insights that will be leveraged to enhance marketing strategies to deliver relevant product/features to card customers and/or drive engagement.
Key to success will be developing and leveraging strong partnerships across Citi's cross functional team. Partner with subject matter stakeholder such as IT, Channel Managers, Decision Management, Marketing, Risk, Legal and Compliance. The role will require strong communication skills and influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership for various business initiatives throughout the project lifecycle to support requirements and consult on solutions. Code, test and execute the requirements for complex marketing campaign and non-marketing activities. Consult on campaign solutions and create automated solutions to streamline execution. Develop solutions to solve or fulfill the business requirements. Identify and segment campaign populations across multiple delivery channels (e.g. direct mail, email, digital, etc.) Execution of special projects to drive portfolio sales and revenue.
  • Contribute and have the ability to create project documentation to support related activities such as creating business requirements, project plans, decision documentation, testing documentation, as well as process and procedural materials.
  • Responsible for timely review, research and resolution of database marketing related issues that occur throughout business.
  • Accountable for reviewing and evaluating quality assurance testing and processes to ensure aligned with the appropriate governance controls; ensure issues are addressed as depicted by the service level agreements (SLA) and the controls are outlined within the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) processes.
  • Support internal and external audits and walk-throughs as required.
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to the regulatory requirements for the related activities.
  • Understand critical data processes and technology components within the defined processes; identifying gaps and/or opportunities.
  • Provide conversion and data mapping support.
  • Develop trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience in either Marketing, Database Management or prior Campaign management experience is highly recommended
  • SQL and SAS experience is highly recommended
  • Experience in financial services regulatory environment, system analysis and writing business and functional specifications
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once
  • Project management discipline and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Requires attention to detail, advanced project management skills and good communication

Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree required, Master's degree preferred
